Low candlestick in pewter with a short cylindrical shaft, three horizontal mouldings at the neck and a stepped circular base of robust profile. Matt finish with the characteristic grey patina of aged pewter. Found in vernacular interiors, taverns and domestic settings of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
