A music stand featuring a folding music-holder with adjustable-angle rods, a slender telescoping shaft, and a tripod base with curved legs and scroll-shaped finials, all made of gold-lacquered metal. Typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was used in music halls, theaters, and salons.
